1. Volcano Choir - Island, Is

Volcano Choir is a collab between Bon Iver and another Wisconsin band Collections of Colonies of Bees. It’s pretty neat, sounds like a Bon Iver song but not. Yeah.

2. De la Soul - La la la

A review I read of this song blah’d on about how they were mature rappers yadda yadda wank wank but whatever to that, they don’t need all that. It’s a good song, listen to it.

3. Pixies - Gigantic

Seeing these guys play last week was A M A Z I N G. That is all I can say.

4. Charlotte Gainsbourg - Trick Pony

First single from her new album which by the sounds of it, is very different from her last. Rocky…and a little bit dirty.

5. Beach House - Lover of Mine

Listening to Beach House is a mix between a warm sunny day and getting drunk and crying to your friends about your ex boyfriend who you miss. This song off their new album ‘Teen Dream’ is no different, very pretty and achingly sad.

Well well… look who it is, A breakfast show named Tuesday.

Nearly two years ago this breakfast slot was handed over to Dave Artrocker who then transformed it into the “Breakfast Yum” show with co-host Tina Turntables.

Myself and the show name moved down the line to the little sunny settlement of Whakatane onto the airwaves of Bsidefm. That’s a whole other blog entry though.

Finding myself back in the ‘Big Stinker’ aka ‘City of Sails’ aka ‘Auckland mother f*cking City’ by some kind of magic and very good timing, the timeslot the show once held had just become available at the very moment I was begging fleet to have me back.

And here we are again!

Starting next Tuesday the 2nd of March and hopefully continuing every Tuesday 7am till 9am on Fleet FM.

Wait there’s more…
Another former show host is returning to fleet also. Talia of ‘Cup of Tease’ fame will be hosting ABSNT as well!

So if all goes to plan, tune in and join us for our first show back on fleet fm next Tuesday.

Spent the weekend in Whakatane, was fun times. I just got back in the big smoke last night, so this morning i was a lil sleepy, unprepared, and battlin some flu. Played a few 7″s i picked up on my travels, some old favorites and some new classics, even had a train roll through the air waves this morning. I will finish this post latert in the week maybe.
